With its storied history, classic silhouette, and off-roading capabilities, the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe remains a favorite of both city slickers and outdoorspeople. Now, Jeep is securing its place in the next generation of hybrid vehicles with the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Let’s take a closer look.
3 Ways to Fuel Up
The new Jeep Wrangler is a hybrid vehicle, and it wants to be treated like one. Charge your Wrangler using the PHEV Home Charging Station, then select how you’d like to use up your electric energy through the Jeep SUV’s E-Selec system:
- Electric Mode uses only electric energy and allows for nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds.
- eSave Mode prioritizes energy from the 2.0L turbocharged engine while conserving electric energy.
- Hybrid Mode utilizes the combined torque of the 2.0L engine and electric motors, with electric power being consumed first.
As in many hybrid vehicles, the Jeep Wrangler uses regenerative breaking to partially replenish electric power while on the road. The Max Regeneration feature recalibrates the accelerator pedal to encourage more aggressive regen at low pedal positions.
The Wrangler’s battery can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours with a 240-volt charger, or 12 hours with the included 120-volt charger. You can even control charging via a web and mobile app with the vehicle’s built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
3 Trim Levels to Choose From
Choose the Sahara for a classic leather-trimmed interior and Sunrider® option for your vehicle’s Hardtop. Be daring with the Rubicon’s Surf Blue Interior Accent Stitching, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and available Corning® Gorilla® Glass windshield. Or rise above the rest with the High Altitude’s fender flares and LED lighting group.
375 Horsepower
Just because the Jeep Wrangler is a hybrid vehicle doesn’t mean it skimps on the power! With 375HP and 470 lb-ft of instant torque, it’s ready to go wherever you are.
