Regular, Re-Occurring Service
Some services that your Dodge car or RAM truck need should be done on a regular, re-occurring schedule. Often, this will be based on mileage – for instance, if you’re using synthetic oil, your vehicle probably needs an oil change every 5,000-10,000 miles. But you can expect to get most of these services once or more every year:
- Oil Change. Generally, every 5,000 to 7,000 miles, depending on driving habits, mileage, and oil used
- Tire Rotation. A rotation is recommended every six months or every 6,000 to 8,000 miles on a higher mileage vehicle
- Multipoint Inspection. Recommended annually, this will help you spot problems before they become more expensive or more dangerous

While keeping on top of oil changes, tire rotations, and regular inspections can go a long way toward increasing the life of your car, truck, or SUV, there are some other services you can expect at big milestones in your vehicle’s life.
- Filter Replacements. Air filters should be replaced every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and fuel filters every 30,000 miles
- New Battery. Even the best battery will wear down eventually, and yours will likely need to be replaced every four to five years or 50,000 to 60,000 miles
- Timing Belt. It’s best to replace this before it breaks and causes severe damage, somewhere between 75,000 and 90,000 miles
