An article published recently in Car and Driver caught our attention. In it, the magazine highlighted vehicle technology that they thought was worthy of note. We were happy to see two brands from our inventory at Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM Virginia Beach get their share of the appraise.

Axle-Disconnect AWD

The four-wheel drive systems found in many new Jeep models are as respected as the SUVs they move. After all, those four-wheel drive Jeep vehicles can take you practically anywhere you’d like to go, and when you don’t need the 4WD, you just go back to the 2WD driveline.

That gives 4WD an edge over AWD, since most AWD systems operate full-time. That creates drag, and drag lowers your gas mileage. The solution? Develop Axle-Disconnect AWD, which lets you draw on that traction when you need it, but which also lets you disengage the system when you’re driving under normal conditions. Fuel economy problem solved.

Looking for Axle-Disconnect AWD? You’ll find it on select Jeep Cherokee, 2018 Jeep Compass, and Jeep Renegade trims.

Stow n’ Go™ Seating

Stow n’ Go seating is neither new nor cutting edge, but it’s no less useful for that. First introduced in 2005 for the Chrysler Town and Country, it continues in the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. Many brands have attempted similar seating arrangements, but nobody else has gotten it quite this right, as many families around Portsmouth, VA will attest. The fact that the seats fold flat and flush lets you get the most out of every cubic foot of cargo space, but the seats have surprises even when they’re not stowed; each has an adjacent storage cubby that gives you even more options.

We invite you to Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Virginia Beach to see all the great technology your next new car can offer you.
