What We Learned from the 2018 Chicago Auto Show

Usually auto shows are a chance to show off a brand’s new vehicle lineup, or to draw attention to concept vehicles and upcoming production models. The 2018 Chicago Auto Show had plenty of that this year, but a couple of brands marched to the beat of their own drummer — while still giving us a preview of what’s coming to Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM Virginia Beach.

2018 Dodge Durango

The Dodge brand made its presence known with an assist from MOPAR, the in-house parts manufacturer for the many vehicles under the FCA US LLC umbrella. The highlight of their display was a 2018 Dodge Durango that served as a showcase for some new MOPAR parts. Some were for appearance (like the optional racing stripes), but others — like lowered suspension and a new stainless steel exhaust system meant for the R/T and SRT trims — were more functional in nature.

2019 RAM 1500

We first saw the 2019 RAM 1500 last month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It was the centerpiece of the RAM brand display, but here again MOPAR parts also shared the spotlight.

There’s a reason for this. When the 2019 RAM 1500 arrives, it will have more than 217 MOPAR parts in tow, available for ordering or direct purchase through your RAM dealerships. A few of those hundreds of parts include 18-inch wheels wearing 35-inch all-terrain tires and set off by black wheel flares, plus aluminum running boards, a lift kit, and custom graphics.

Even though it's only February 2018, and we’re already looking ahead to the 2019 model year with anticipation. Whether you want to test drive the newest vehicles we offer, or you’d like to find out more about future models, it’s a great time to visit Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Virginia Beach. We serve Norfolk and Portsmouth, VA from our showroom at 3152 Virginia Beach Blvd.
