When it was introduced four decades ago, the Jeep® Cherokee changed the way a lot of people thought of Jeep SUVs. The 2017 Jeep Cherokee carries over much of what we loved about the 2016 version. That includes the 75th Anniversary trim that was introduced last year. Front-wheel drive comes standard on most trims (Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, High Altitude, and Overland). Those trims also have a 2.4 liter inline four-cylinder engine under the hood, alongside a nine-speed transmission. You can opt for four-wheel drive on each of those trims, and you can also add a 271 horsepower V6 engine if you'd like something with more pep.
On the other hand, you could also just opt for the off-road ready Trailhawk trim. The V6 engine is standard here, as is four-wheel drive. What's more, you also get Active Drive II 4WD as standard equipment.
Although the 2017 Jeep Cherokee has a lot in common with the 2016 model, there are a few small but significant changes:

· UConnect infotainment system upgraded to Version 8.4
