The Los Angeles International Auto Show is four months away, so why write about it now? Because two new Jeep® vehicles are confirmed for the show, with two others possibly joining in. Not long after, they’ll be available to the Portsmouth, VA customers served by Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Virginia Beach.
2018 Jeep Wrangler: The long-awaited next generation 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be one of the biggest debuts in LA this year. Expect it to look very similar to the outgoing model. However, you should also expect changes under the hood — including a new transmission and different engine options — that will make the signature Jeep SUV more efficient and powerful, yet quieter, than before.
2018 Jeep Cherokee: The new Jeep Cherokee has been spied in testing with heavy camouflage on its front and tail. Having earlier lent some of its good looks to the new Jeep Compass, it now takes a little something back: the re-styled front end should feature a new grille, lights, and bumper, with tweaks made out back to match. More details on powertrains and technology will likely be released as the auto show approaches.
Possibilities: The other two Jeep vehicles we know are in the pipeline are the 2019 Jeep Wrangler pickup (which may show, but is more likely for next year) and a redesigned Jeep Renegade. The latter should be a 2018 vehicle, with early renderings suggesting some interesting changes coming to the smallest Jeep SUV.
The auto show season takes something of a break for the summer, but it’s about to get back into full swing.
