On September 1, 2011, the Jeep® brand introduced the new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Call-of-Duty Modern Warfare 3 Special Edition at the first ever Call-of-Duty fan experience in Los Angeles. Starting in December, these vehicles will begin arriving at dealerships in both two-door and four-door models.

The 2012 Jeep Wrangler lineup is on a roll. Just named the "Hottest 4x4-SUV" by the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association, Wrangler also captured the prestigious "4x4 of the Year" crown from Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine, the "Mid-size SUV of Texas" award from the Texas Auto Writers Association and the "Best Off-Road Value" in the Active Lifestyle Vehicle awards competition. That's 4 big time awards in just 10 days! That's the kind of recognition that gets Jeep customers excited.

Wrangler Call of Duty: MW3 Special Edition is based on the  mighty Rubicon model and features:

  • 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with its 285 horsepower (40% increase) and 260 pound-feet of torque (10% increase) and up to 21 mpg on the highway (10% increase), compared to the 3.8L V6 it replaces
  • Aggressive 32-inch BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain tires 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels in semi-gloss Black capable of taking Wrangler to highest level of capability
  • Rock-Trac® two-speed transfer case with 4:1 low gear ratio for rock-crawling
  • Solid Dana 44 front and rear axles with Tru-Lok® electronic lockers for supreme capability off-road, or on-road
  • Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect system lets you disengage the sway bar when driving under 18 mph in 4WD-low (4LO) mode with the flip of a switch for more reach and massive traction when off-roading
  • 10.2 inches of ground clearance, 44.3-degree approach angle, 40.4-degree departure angle, 25.4-degree breakover angle and a removable front air dam for best-in-class ground clearance and approach and departure performance

  • Dashboard serialized plaque and dashboard grab handle with logo
  • Accent stitching on front door armrests, console lid, and leather wrapped steering wheel
